Some acts are unforgivable, and the act of forgiveness denies a force of balancing power in nature to punish or abolish the perpetrator or source of the unforgivable acts. Forgiveness is intimately tied to honor and respect in the psyche, though, so a person who is constantly mistreated MAY suffer from an unfulfilled desire to react openly to their oppressors. We should not treat the symptoms of the dis-ease in these people by changing them, however. We should seek to alter their environment to make their lives more bearable and fruitful for them to enjoy without malice from the misdeeds of others.
