It is possible for two creatures that look nothing alike to have the ability to breed (sexual dimorphism). It is possible for two creatures that look exactly the same to have no ability to breed with one another (co-developmental physiological imitation). It is possible for two creatures to breed their young in a surrogate host (cystive reproduction). It is possible for a creature to breed from within itself with no outwardsly self-similar host (internal separation). It is possible for a creature to grow without ever breeding at all (instrictive envelopment).
